Maintenance Facility
Blue Bird own a wide steel constructed hangar situated
at Khartoum International airport, in which aircraft maintenance is carried
out. It is the largest hangar on the general aviation section of the airport
and is capable of housing a Boeing 737 with the tail outside. The hangar
has provision for furnished 24 hours air-conditioned offices, stores and
facility for charter operations crew. The hangar facilities and equipment
employed by the company for the work on the aircraft under its charge
is excellent. The company is fully equipped to operate, handle & manage
General Aviation turbo-prop aircraft.
Besides the Sudanese CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), the CAA of South
Africa has inspected the maintenance organization and approved it to maintain
and sign out South African registered aircraft.
